Ministry of Gender Equality of Republic of Korea is pleased to announce that “IT Capacity Building Programme for Women in the APEC Region 2008″ in Sookmyung Women’s University, Seoul, Korea from Aug 25 to Sep 5, 2008 (12 days)

Proud to build on past years’ resounding success, we are inviting government officials from gender-related government body and mid-level managers working in IT-related divisions of public/private companies of the APEC member economy to indulge in the 2-week opportunity of learning, sharing and networking.

This training program aims to equip mid-level women government officials with knowledge, skills, leadership and global network necessary to reduce gender digital divide within and among APEC economies, promote women’s economic participation in their APEC economies through use of ICT and strengthen and promote active exchange and cooperation among APEC economies in the area of gender and ICT.

In this light, we’d like to ask for your kind cooperation in nominating participants for this training. We plan to invite 2 participants per economy to take benefits of our training program. We’d appreciate if you could direct the attached 1) Training Notification 2) Application Form to the appropriate channel within your organization. Please take note that all applications are due 16th June , 2008.
